Huawei e272 pairs nicely with MacBook
After deciding on Celcom 3g, I bought the Huawei e272 from Andrew on LowYat. I’ve not had a chance to do much testing but it was very easy to set up on the Mac. The design is quite nice and looks great with the white MacBook. A bit of 2 sided velcro tape keeps it [...]

Proof TMNet is cheating you
The secret is there are good IPs and bad IPs.
I work with video and all of the services I am reviewing / testing are outside Malaysia. At times my connection to US servers was as fast as my advertised connection speed and other times, most of the time in fact, my connection was 10 times [...]
Dark Knight good but best movie ever?
I finally sat down last night to watch Dark Knight and I have to say Heath Leger was awesome and deserves the Oscar for best supporting actor. While the movie was amazing – I don’t think it’s the 4th best film ever made as it currently ranks in IMDB. What’s up with scratchy [...]

Dropbox update 0.6.425 – Forum Build
We are still trying to come up with a name for this build. Any Ideas? Note: This forum build is more experimental than usual, so approach with caution!

Gmail Themes a welcome feature
Google has added themes to Gmail. The above screenshot shows the Terminal theme. Below is another called Tea House. I’ve taken to using Gmail with Apple Mail since they turned on IMAP support but this is still a welcome sight for a very old and boring interface.

Enjoy high quality video by default now on any youtube video and embedded video. I notice that the HQ videos also play faster here.

WordPress Plugin Idea: Auto Link Karma
It would be cool to have a WordPress plugin that auto linked words in my blog posts to matching tags on my friends posts on their blogs or suggested links to friends posts from the WordPress edit console. This could be done via FriendFeed API or better yet FriendFeed could host a custom [...]

Skype for Mac 6 months no update
It’s been a while since Skype has released a significant update for OSX. Seems like a very long time between updates for such a product. Maybe the Mac team is hard at work on an iPhone version?

Tesco Malaysia sells rotten food
I’m tired of buying food from Tesco Malaysia that’s rotten. Last night we bought some Fuji apples and tonight after dinner I cut some open to find out the whole bag was spoiled even though they look OK on the outside. They’ve got that spunky carbonated taste. I would not write about this if it [...]

Another day of downtime..
Hey, sorry about the trouble you’ve been having and I was able to
figure it out! It looks like there was a misconfiguration with the
domain path and so I went ahead and fixed that for you. I made sure that
everything was pointed where it [...]
