Digi pimp my broadband get’s Kanye’d
Figured I might as well give it a shot right? Kudos to Digi for use of social media to bring attention to their mobile broadband service. More competition has to be a good thing. I look forward to trying it out on the go. Here is my photo submission. Vote for it here.

Dataran 3 Two Square has a hygiene problem
My office is over at Dataran 32 in Section 14 Petaling Jaya. This is an excellent business location in PJ. We’ve got restaurants like Papa Rich, Coconut house and probably one of the best banana leaf restaurants in PJ, Ravi’s.
There’s just one problem – it smells like shit. As in fecal matter, hold [...]

Celcom broadband slow and unstable
For the past 2 months Celcom 3g constantly switches between HSDPA and WCDMA after 5 to 10 minutes of connection. Once the cycling between connection modes starts you cannot browse and must disconnect then reconnect, then wait a few minutes – repeat.
I contacted Celcom to find out what the problem was and they [...]
Pattie Maes and Pranav Mistry demo wearable computing at TED
Really amazing look at how close we are to wearable computing that does not get in the way and actually looks quite usable.
This demo — from Pattie Maes’ lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav Mistry — was the buzz of TED. It’s a wearable device with a projector that paves the way for profound interaction [...]

Social unrest possible in Malaysia due to economic collapse
Articles like this scare the hell out of me. Malaysia has a growing issue on it’s hands in part because the government is still saying, “No problemo“. Unless there are genius’ at work the likes of no where else in the World, Malaysia has some painful realizations to come to grips with over [...]
Dark Knight good but best movie ever?
I finally sat down last night to watch Dark Knight and I have to say Heath Leger was awesome and deserves the Oscar for best supporting actor. While the movie was amazing – I don’t think it’s the 4th best film ever made as it currently ranks in IMDB. What’s up with scratchy [...]
Skype for Mac 6 months no update
It’s been a while since Skype has released a significant update for OSX. Seems like a very long time between updates for such a product. Maybe the Mac team is hard at work on an iPhone version?

Tesco Malaysia sells rotten food
I’m tired of buying food from Tesco Malaysia that’s rotten. Last night we bought some Fuji apples and tonight after dinner I cut some open to find out the whole bag was spoiled even though they look OK on the outside. They’ve got that spunky carbonated taste. I would not write about this if it [...]

Another day of downtime..
Hey, sorry about the trouble you’ve been having and I was able to
figure it out! It looks like there was a misconfiguration with the
domain path and so I went ahead and fixed that for you. I made sure that
everything was pointed where it [...]
Prediction: Obama 375, McCain 163
I’m being kind giving McCain Arizona. It’s now looking like he might lose his home state.

Malaysia is in recession
After spending a few years in Malaysia, whenever you hear top level ministers and the Prime Minister repeatedly declare that things are not that bad, things are actually bad. I’ve talked to shop keepers, hand phone dealers, car salesmen & real estate agents. They already know what the government is afraid [...]
Surprise, China blocks blog coverage of milk scandal
According to PBS, China journalists notified authorities weeks before the news came out. This directive was issued during the Olympics.
China’s Propaganda Department — a censorship office that answers directly to the Communist Party’s Politburo — circulated a 21-point directive to the Chinese media on the eve of the Beijing Olympics declaring certain subjects [...]
