OK, call me impressed. Thanks to Jan for linking me to Evernote, an app that let’s you snap photos, clip web pages and take notes across multiple platforms and have them all synced in the cloud. The coolest thing I see about it so far is the OCR that happens on their servers.

DIY cheap notebook cooling

Try placing a 1/2 inch 3 ring binder in between your lap and your notebook. This simple and cheap utilitarian solution is the best I’ve used for removing direct contact heat while using the macbook for extended periods. The keyboard angle is just right as well.
Cool finder trick: type to locate files

Accidently found this one. You might already know this trick. Try typing the first several characters of the file you are looking for in an active Finder (OSX) window. Reminds me of Quicksilver.
